Eurofoil invests in a continuous Research and Development programme, working on the improvement of the existing range and the development of new highly valuable innovative products in order to meet the constantly evolving needs of the customers and the markets.
Dedicated Research Centre and Scientists
The Eurofoil Innovation Centre in Belvaux, Luxembourg in conjunction with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a globally recognised institution in the field of Surface Analysis. A core team of Eurofoil scientists and technologists fully dedicated to research on foil is based there and has access to a wide range of highly sophisticated analytical facilities.
Range of competences supporting foil innovation
In the Eurofoil Innovation Centre a range of competences is available in the fields of metallurgy, surface science, rolling and tribology, corrosion, adhesion/coatings, process optimisation and thin films deposition. A short description of the equipment available along with the area of interest is set out below:

Surface Chemistry Analyses:
  • Auger/XPS (X-ray Photoelectron spectroscopy)

Electron Microscopy:
